Question of the Day
Question of the Day
My coworker told me that she can more easily identify a celebrity baby than she can a US president. While I don't want to think about what this means for our educational system and sense of American pride, I had to laugh.
I mean, with names like Apple, Zuma Nesta and Shiloh, how can you not follow these tots. Sure, Moses and Suri haven't actually done anything to be famous but maybe someday....
Question of the Day: Which celebrity baby will grow up to become an actor?

You know that gorgeous golden retriever featured in many pictures on this site? It’s my nephew-dog, Vedder. (You can learn more about him by clicking on the “About Kerri” section.)
Well, Vedder’s birthday is this Sunday. Unfortunately, Vedder lives in a different state than me. I plan on sending him a birthday card but I have to wonder if I would throw him a big party for his special b-day if I lived nearby. After all, I used to celebrate my Cabbage Patch Dolls’ birthdays.
Question of the Day: Who (or what) is the strangest person (or thing) that you’ve celebrated?

Have you ever noticed how much more time it takes to put up all of your holiday decorations then it does to take them all down?
My tree, which was only a 6 foot artificial, took me all night, a viewing of Elf and a couple glasses of eggnog to get up and decorated. But one episode of Gossip Girl and the whole thing was down!
And my holidays were over....
Question of the Day: Now that Christmas and New Year's are over, what's the next holiday you are looking forward to?

It's that time of year again....
I was at the gym yesterday and it was like a freaking zoo. There are many unwritten and unspoken rules at my gym. But yesterday, there were new people everywhere and no rules were observed.
The locker room was like a brothel.
The line for the treadmills resembled a mosh pit.
And I actually thought one girl was going to throw the scale into the mirrors!
What really irritates me is that the majority of these crazy people will be gone by the end of January.

Question of the Day
Question of the Day
Every Christmas Eve, Santa used to drop off a present early - one for me and one for my brother. The presents were always Christmas pajamas.
We changed into them and off to bed.
The next morning I would wake up super early and jump on my brother's bed to wake him up. It was the only day of the year he was pleasant in the morning!
And then we would run downstairs and check out what Santa brought us. My presents were always in red and my brother's were wrapped in blue.
Then my dad would come downstairs - always excited. My Nunnie would have her coffee and biscotti - always wearing a pink housecoat. My mom was there of course - sick and exhausted every year but still excited about Christmas. :-)
Question of the Day: What is your favorite Christmas tradition and/or memory?

There are a lot of wonderful things happening this time of year. Holiday parties. Great food. Pretty lights. Traditions of all shapes and sizes. Presents!
But one of my favorite things about December are all the movies that come out! Whether it's the artsy movies vying for a Golden Globe nomination or a big blockbuster out to simply entertain, I feel bombarded (in a good way) with my favorite pasttime - watching movies.
Question of the Day: What new movie do you plan to see over the holidays?

My family is Italian and we honor the Italian tradition of the seven fish on Christmas Eve. Well.... kind of.
You see, the traditional fish are kinda well, icky. So we have de-ickified them in my family. Instead of the eel and squid, we have shrimp, made many different ways.
Yes, we still have the spaghetti and anchovies and the bacala. But we also have shrimp cocktail, tiny shrimp in our salads, scallops, orange roughy and crabmeat.
Man, I'm getting hungry and anxious for Christmas Eve dinner just thinking about this!
